Celebrating Elf Day to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society

Our Team Outside the home

Porterbrook Staff dressed as elves to raise funds for charity.

As part of the Alzheimer’s Society ‘Elf Day’, our staff unleashed their ‘inner elf’ by dressing as Santa’s little helpers. Staff helped raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Society by donning pointy ears and bell-jangling hats. An elf-themed tea party was served, accompanied by Christmas music and festive games.

Our care home Manager, Sheilagh Sweeney, said: “Here at The Porterbrook, the Alzheimer’s Society is a charity very close to our hearts because every day we see the importance of its work. We raise funds for the society whenever we can, and Elf Day is particularly entertaining. Our elf tea party for residents was a magical and jolly get-together that gave everyone a laugh - boosting their spirits in time for Christmas."
