Christmas at The Porterbrook

Resident with Christmas Tree

Everyone at The Porterbrook Care Home enjoyed many Christmas festivities throughout the month of December. The home has been beautifully decked out with Christmas decorations and we want to say a big thanks to our lovely staff who have worked extremely hard to transform our home into a Winter Wonderland.

The Porterbrook's Got Talent

Staff of The Porterbrook took part in a talent competition this month. The talents consisted of a pianist, singers, choirs, saxophonist's, hula hoopers and much more. Residents were impressed by the performances and everyone who participated got their own Certificate of Astounding Talent! A good day all around.

Festive Afternoon Tea

Afternoon tea was served to residents at The Porterbrook Care Home with a festive twist. Treats included homemade brownies, mince pies, grapes and bread and butter to get everyone into the Christmas spirit and indulge in some delicious food.

The Elf on The Shelf

The Porterbrook Care Home has a new addition for the month of December. Staff participated in the newer Christmas tradition of 'The Elf on The Shelf'. Every day up until Christmas Day, staff place the Elf in a new position within the home, and residents enjoy trying to find the Elf to see what he's been up to.

Residents have also been taking part in a host of Christmas themed activities, from card making, to singing carols, making paper chains and baking.

If you are interested in visiting our home to see the facilities we have on offer at The Porterbrook, do not hesitate to contact us to book a tour with our Home Manager.
