CQC Inspection and ‘Good’ Rating!

Back in August, we received an unannounced inspection from the CQC, which was our first one in 5 years. The report has now been published and we are thrilled to announce that we have been given an overall rating of 'Good' with us also scoring 'Good' for all 5 individual inspection areas.

The CQC is an independent regulator for health and adult social care in England. They visit care homes all over the country to assess the quality of their care services and in-house facilities. Visits can either be announced or unannounced to ensure the care home is consistent with their environment.

At The Porterbrook Care Home, we work tirelessly around the clock to ensure our residents receive exceptional care no matter what their personal or medical needs are. We have a number of in-house facilities and amenities including a hair salon & treatment room, outside areas, an entertainment & activities programme and luxury transport. These are available to residents at their leisure, as we want them to maintain their independence and carry on their usual routine without any extra stress.

We work closely with our residents and their loved ones to create personalised care plans that allow us to know our residents beyond their needs and provide them with consistent, first-class care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Our team is so proud of our 'Good' rating as it exemplifies our dedication to improving the quality of life of our residents. Book a tour around our care home in Sheffield to see for yourself what we can do for you or your loved one at The Porterbrook.
