Pancake Day Has Come to The Porterbrook

Pancake day Plate

On Tuesday the 1st of March, the residents at The Porterbrook Care Home enjoyed celebrating Pancake Day by making pancakes, talking about their favourite traditional toppings and of course eating them after! Residents were given a variety of fruit, sauces and other sweet treats to fill their pancakes with.

No matter how big or small the occasion may be, we love a reason to celebrate and our residents love getting involved and contributing to the varied and stimulating activities programme at The Porterbrook Care Home. The programme is a great way to encourage our residents to socialise with one another and maintain their independence and confidence by continuing to do hobbies that they love and feel passionate about.

Whilst our programme incorporates the hobbies and interests of our residents, our activities team also try to introduce them to new things that might provide them with a sense of joy and happiness, ensuring they are never short of things to look forward to.

Whether our residents enjoy getting creative with our arts and crafts and homebaking sessions, or prefer making full use of our in-house facilities such as watching a film in our cinema room, getting pampered by our skilled hairstylists and beauty therapists, or even taking a stroll in our therapeutic gardens, there is something for everyone at The Porterbrook Care Home.

Our devoted team at The Porterbrook Care Home are passionate about providing our residents with the ability to do what makes them happy in a safe environment. Whether it's carrying on with well-loved traditions, continuing their favourite hobbies or exploring new interests, our fantastic hands-on team take the time to get to know each and every one of our residents to ensure that their every need is supported.

If you would like more information regarding the wonderful facilities and activities at The Porterbrook Care Home, then please feel free to get in touch and a friendly member of our team will be more than happy to help.
