At The Porterbrook Care Home, our staff is devoted to providing exceptional services in a safe environment that allow residents to make the most of every day. We want our residents to be able to keep doing what makes them happy, whether that’s watching a classic film on our cinema screen, socialising with friends and family in our private dining area, or learning about the heritage of Sheffield.

The most interesting activities are planned by our trained Activity Coordinators for our residents. In addition, we have a chauffeur-driven car available to take our residents from one trip to the next; our home’s location is ideal for residents and their loved ones to explore Sheffield and the neighbouring areas.

Our professional Activity Coordinators work hard to ensure that an active and social lifestyle is promised, taking the time to get to know everyone of our residents to incorporate activities to suit everyone’s interests. Animals visit residents at The Porterbrook Care Home on a regular basis, and our Activity Coordinators frequently incorporate pet therapy since this experience has proven to have a positive impact on our residents and the animals never fail to bring a smile to our residents’ faces.

On a regular basis, we organise excursions and day trips for our residents. Our activities programme allows residents to visit the local community in a variety of ways. Residents can explore Sheffield and the nearby areas to visit the botanical gardens, shops, local church and museums, just to name a few.

Entertainers love to visit The Porterbrook Care Home and perform for their adoring audience; from dancers to singers and musicians, and even local schools, residents enjoy a wide range of acts.

Several of our activities allow the family members of our residents to join in. Events and entertainment at the home also provides the perfect opportunity for loved ones to visit.
