At The Porterbrook, we have 44 stunningly luxurious rooms to offer our residents, each decorated to a high standard and fitted with en-suite wet rooms. Designed with our residents’ comfort and relaxation in mind, our bedrooms have everything our residents could need, including furniture, Wi-Fi, underfloor heating and a TV. Our luxurious rooms are spacious enough to accommodate visitors, and we also encourage residents to bring any of their much-loved personal items or furnishings that will really make them feel at home.

Dining at The Porterbrook is very important to us, which is we have an in-house chef and kitchen team who create the finest meals using quality ingredients. Every meal is made with our residents’ nutritional requirements in mind, and we go to great lengths to ensure our menus are varied and to everyone’s taste. While we encourage residents to enjoy their mealtimes in one of our beautiful dining rooms, residents can also eat their meals from the comfort of their own rooms if they prefer; the option is truly theirs. Thanks to our private dining room, we can also accommodate loved ones for dinner, for those moments you want to celebrate altogether.

Our home boasts multiple outdoor areas, including a courtyard with decking, a balcony, and multiple seating areas. Our outdoor areas are perfectly equipped for all outside activities, whether it be games, gardening or outdoor dining. We understand that hair and beauty treatments can have immense benefits on our residents. A visit to our Hair Salon and Treatment allows our residents to relax, unwind and recharge. We offer a variety of treatments, from hair cuts and blow dries, to massages and podiatry. At The Porterbrook, we are fully equipped with everything our residents need to make them look and feel their very best, and what’s more is that all treatments are included in your fee.

Our purpose-built cinema is the perfect place for our residents who are film buffs. With comfortable armchairs, a wide screen, and popcorn and refreshments always available, we are delighted to be able to bring all the fun of the cinema directly to our residents. We also benefit from regular deliveries from the Council, meaning our collection is always updated with new books for our residents to read. Entertainment & Activities Programme

We have two dedicated and inspired Activities Coordinators who are constantly working hard to create an entertainment and activities programme that leaves our residents feeling happy and stimulated. Whether we welcome visitors such as musicians and animals, or host activities like quizzes and coffee mornings, there is always something interesting happening at The Porterbrook. We also regularly take our residents out on trips to local garden centres, museums and the seaside, ensuring that they always have something to look forward to.

Arts & Crafts

Arts and Crafts are extremely important for both the physical and mental wellbeing of our residents. We host different sessions every week which sees our residents participate in crafting activities such as knitting, painting and creating collages.
